How can God be our refuge when all we see around us is literally crumbling? There are "great and precious promises" throughout the Bible concerning those who put their trust in Him. Our refuge, our safety, lies not in this world or even in life as we know it. Jesus told His disciples that they would be seized, persecuted, beaten and even put to death. And then He told them that not one hair of their head would perish. Is this a contradiction? NO! There is so much more to "life" than what we live in our mortal bodies. God doesn't guarantee anyone an unruffled existence. What He does promise is His abiding Presence in this life, and eternal life in the next. Take refuge in His Presence. If you don't know how, please talk to me. I know the Way into the Secret Place of the Most High God!

Earthquakes, Tsunamis and Death, O My!
"God is our refuge and strength, an ever-present help in trouble. Therefore we will not fear, though the earth give way and the mountains fall into the heart of the sea, though its waters roar and foam and the mountains quake with their surging (Psalm 46:1-3)."
